3 Weeks and Counting……almost 17 months!!!

Well….the time is near! Only 3 weeks left….or sooner! I feel like my belly is the biggest it has ever been! I still have a couple weeks left and I am bigger than I was with Madison at full term! Crazy! I have my weekly appointments now—so really it can happen at anytime!

37 weeks!


Pat is working on the baby’s room now—he has it all ready to paint. We are going to paint a light green on the walls with a bright white ceiling! The crib is here it just needs to be put together! Abby and her friend Chandler were all day Saturday helping me! We brought 4 totes up from the basement and sorted them out! 2 bins were newborn and 0-3 month baby stuff- we washed all the onesies and jammies. The other 2 bins were Madison clothes…I pulled out all the 18 month clothes, they are still a little big on her, but she has no “fall” clothes in 12 month! It was nice to have them help me….I was definitely “Nesting” My hospital bag is ready to go! I had it mostly ready last week after my MD appt, but yesterday I actually put some things in it for Pat! I don’t feel like we are “ready” but will I ever be 100% “ready”? Probably not! So, when it happens…it happens!! Had my 37 week appointment today and she said all is well!
It is just the waiting game at this point!!

Madison has NO idea what to expect! We always tell her to kiss the baby and she will lift up my shirt and kiss my belly! But in reality, it is going to be a GIANT shock for her! She has no idea what is about to happen!! But, it will be good. She will adjust well! (I hope) Lately, she is starting to get a little more of an attitude! She always had one BUT the last couple weeks, it is definitely showing more and more! Her little personality is super cute! She will be 17 months at the end of the month and she acts like she is 3! She had her 15/16 month appointment 2 weeks ago and she is 22 lbs now and is at the 60% on the chart for height! She is definitely still our little peanut! Her new favorite word is MINE! She yells MINE at the dog when gets about a foot away from ANY of her toys! Oh man, I think we have our hands full!!

The next update I am sure it will be baby news!! Keep thinking about us….especially in the next couple weeks—think about an “easily delivery”

15 Months and 30 weeks!!~

Madison is 15 months and growing rapidly! She is about 22 lbs already! My “little peanut” is not so little anymore!!! Madison still “talks” a million words a minute—we can understand about 1/3 of them! Her new thing is to read books by herself…which means we watch her turn the pages and she babbles on and on!

4th of July weekend we went up north to Pat’s family cabin! We all had a great time! Madison was definitely worn out by the end of the weekend---all the fresh air and running around she did- she should have been worn out!!

We spent a Sunday afternoon with Aunt Nicki and Uncle Nathan- we went SWIMMING! Madison LOVED the pool!! She is a little water baby- she just splashed and splashed and kicked her legs! She had a great time!

Pat and I went to Country Jam on Saturday to see Zac Brown Band—VIP!! It was awesome! The rain kept us away for a little while…but it was a great night and the food was yummy!!

Madison also had her 1st weekend away from us! My good friend Laura got married last weekend and Madison was home with my parents and sisters. They took great care of her and we really appreciated it- we knew she was in great hands!

I am well in to my 3rd trimester- 30 weeks along! I still feel great- I love being pregnant! I feel like I am getting bigger and bigger—but what do you expect? October will be here before we know it! Which means we should probably start working on the room situation….hmmmm.

Quick Update

Sorry it has been forever since the last update---we finally started to get Summer weather and I forgot about the blog :)

Life is wonderful- Madison is getting SO big. I can not believe she is 14 months old already!! Here is what you have missed the past 2 months---

•Madison walks around babbling all the time
•Her vocab has expanded: Up, Down, Thank You (to EVERYTHING), Get Down, Bob and more----
•She finally knows where her nose and belly button are
•Today we were asking her what a monkey says and she laughs and says OooooohhhhhOhhhhhh!
•She LOVES to go on walks- in her wagon or on her trike
•Being outside is one of her favorite things to do
•She definitely has an attitude- when you tell her NO, she now likes to throw fits! Great- something to look forward to as she gets older
•She is still a great sleeper (we are lucky) in bed before 8 and sleeps until 7- which is great until Saturday~ we are trying to train her to sleep until 8 : )
•Hugs and Kisses are a must when you leave the room- open mouth kisses!
•Her 1 year molars are finally IN! Not so much fun, but they are here
•She has a total 8 teeth now!
•She has going up the stairs figured out, not the down part
•She can get on the couch by herself
•She can be a little shy at 1st (not around her grandparents tho) but after a few minutes…she is definitely herself!
•She is starting to bring random things to bed with her (1st time- her cell phone, 2nd time- a wet washrag and tonite it was her keys!)
•Meal times are a little more interesting these days---she MUST feed herself with a spoon! If you try to help her, she is not very happy!
•Bob is her best friend- she tries to ride him
•I hope Madison will be a good big sister to the new one! She has no idea what is coming!!!

I am feeling great! I love being pregnant! This pregnancy is a breeze (so far….). I am bigger than I was with Madison- so maternity clothes are a must now. Only 15 weeks to go! More than ½ way done!! Hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th of July!~

Happy Birthday Madison! Happy Easter!! IT'S A GIRL!!!

Well, the past month has been every exciting!! Madison turned ONE on Easter!! Can you believe it! The whole weekend was a great one- even though Madison was a little on the crabby side :) Those darn teeth….they are just bothersome!! I took Good Friday off, we ran a few errands- celebrated Pat’s mom’s birthday and prepared everything for the party!! Friday night Madison DID NOT sleep at ALL!! Either she was excited for her birthday or she was teething…..well, teething was the answer! She woke up Saturday morning REALLY crabby- oh great- the day of her party! I guess she just wanted a 1st birthday party for NO ONE to forget! She refused to nap Saturday and people started coming over---she would not go to anyone the whole party. She did lighten up when the cake started!! She was all over that!! Then presents! She loved that too!!! After everyone left, she was in a great mood- took a LONG nap and woke up to play with all her presents! THANK YOU EVERYONE!!

Long Day!



Sunday morning she was back to herself again. Happy Easter to us! We went to church with my parents, my sisters, my grandpas and Pat’s parents! It was a great morning! We spent the rest of the day at my parents house. It was very relaxing and Madison enjoyed her birthday! Throughout the day I was thinking where I was at this time last year—I remember the Panther restaurant in Durand, my water breaking on the way home and a few hours later our little peanut decided to make her arrival!! 8:42pm on April 24th 2010 was the best moment in my life so far! Madison is a little blessing and we just love her more than anything in the WHOLE world!!

Well, on to the news of the day!! IT’S A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, it is true! We are having another little baby girl! I am SUPER excited for Madison to have a little sister…I am sure she will boss her around and make her wear things that are not cute she will also make her the little guinea pig and she will have makeup all over her face and #2 will be blamed for everything!! :-) I wish Madison could understand that there will be a little one in her future! We had the ultrasound today and she is healthy! Looks like everything is perfect so far! I can feel her moving around in there, but no one can feel it from the outside yet!

Eleven Months and a SURPRISE!!

ONE more month and Madison will be ONE!! Unbelievable!! I just love it! She is sooo much fun right now! This is definitely the best time of our lives!! Well at 11 months I can almost officially say she is walking. She walks all over the place every day---but if it is something she wants NOW (like when we open the dishwasher or fridge) she crawls so she can get there faster!! But she takes steps all the time- she squats to pick something up, balances herself and walks with it! It is so adorable! I never thought she would be walking already---where the heck has the time gone? She also has quite the vocabulary- the words she uses the most are: dada, mama, Bob, ALL done, det don (get down), uh-oh, hiiiiii, num-num, ni (which is NO) and lots of babbles…she knows what she is saying we just don’t know yet! She is smiles all the time and still is a great baby! Madison sure loves to eat. Everyday I pick her up at daycare and ask how she ate—they always laugh at me and say what do you think? I think she is the one who eats the most at every meal!! Sheesh! She is a good eater at home and is very messy!! Of course she has to do it all by herself, then when she is done she drops it over the highchair and says “UhOh!” stinker.










I have been busy planning her birthday party---even though she will not remember it, I want it to be the best party for her!! Birthdays are important to me—it is a day you have to celebrate all to yourself! Unlike Easter and Christmas- you don’t have to share it with anyone!! So, Madison will always have the best birthdays and they will always be about her!!

Madison is proud to announce that in October she will be a BIG SISTER!! Yes, we are expecting! October 12th is my due date. It is a scary but exciting time for us! Madison is so much fun right now and I think she will make a GREAT big sister! This time we will find out what we are having~ we will find out in May. So, if it a boy—I will ask everyone to start thrift sale shopping for me 
