It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!!

Christmas is just a little over 1 week away….and we are ready for it to be here….besides the fact we have no decorations on our tree. Oops! This is always this weekend!! Haha.
Madison is growing soooo fast! She is almost eight months old and she is becoming a little girl…she is not my baby anymore. She is so independent already!! Well, like I said my last post…I think she will be crawling by Christmas—she is ALL OVER the place now!! She has been crawling for a couple weeks and it is crazy! You put her down and within a couple seconds she is clear across the room! She has no fear at all! ---some of her favorite places to crawl to are….the dog toy box, the phone cords, my purse and her newest one, Bob’s water dish…nothing like splashing in slobbery water!

She also now has 2 teeth! Both are on the bottom and are just barely through. Teething has not been too big of an issue for her---she did get a little bit of bad diaper rash for a couple days, then it pretty much cleared up! We are pretty lucky to have such a great baby! It is very rare when she is crabby and we are OK with that. Having a happy baby is the best!!

Madison loves food- there is no doubt there! She loves her oatmeal/cereal and pretty much every kind of food there is—applesauce, pears, peas, beans, squash, sweet potatoes, and now more recently she is eating the “puffs” and squashed bananas! She gets annoyed with us when we are feeding her and we look away for a second—she screeches until we put more into her mouth!!

I will post more pictures next week after the Christmas chaos! We are going to Pat’s parents’ house for Christmas Eve and my parents’ house for Christmas Day! It will be an awesome couple of days! Madison will love all the paper and boxes and food too!! We will see if she even cares about “Santa” or the presents! Haha. Probably not.
One more big thing in our life…WE MOVED!!! We now live on the south side of town—it is a ranch style house, 3 bedrooms, 2 ½ baths, 1st floor laundry (with my new FRONT LOADERS!), a big family room and a full basement. Plus the backyard is much bigger for Bob! It has been crazy- we moved the day after Thanksgiving and it was complete chaos…since I HAD to go shopping on Black Friday!! But we love our new house! It is so nice to be a couple blocks from my parents and a couple blocks from daycare, very convenient!!

Last weekend, Eau Claire got a record breaking amount of snow--- 22 inches!! WOWZA! We sure will have a white Christmas this year! Pat got to use his snow blower and spend hours (literally) cleaning the driveway up! (and the neighbors too) Bob was not so sure about the 1st snowfall; Pat had to shovel a special “spot” for him so he could go to the bathroom! After he went to the bathroom, him and Pat were dancing around in all 2 feet of snow!

Looooong Time- sorry!

Sorry it has been such a long time, I don’t know where the time has gone! Madison is SIX months old already!! I can not believe it! She is just getting SO big right before our eyes!!!
Many things have happened in the past month….

*Madison is now eating baby food- not just cereal anymore….she has tried green beans, apples and squash! She does not quite know what to do with the green beans, but she sure loves everything else! I am excited to keep trying new food with her. She is a little trooper and looks forward to dinner time!!
*Madison is not only rolling from her back to belly and belly to back, but she is a scooter now too!! She will scoot backwards to get her anywhere she wants to go! She also gets up on all 4 and rocks back and forth. I am betting that she will be crawling in the next 4 to 6 weeks!! We will see by Christmas where she is at!! :) Madison also sits on her own now…..she prefers to be sitting when you put her down versus laying down! We sit her down with a bunch of toys in front of her and she is content! She loves just playing with her toys!!
*Madison was baptized on September 26th. The church service was great! Madison has 2 sets of godparents, Nicki and Nathan (Pat’s sister and brother in law) and Betsy and Abby (my sisters). We are all so blessed to have such wonderful siblings! Thanks to everyone for being such a special part in Madison’s day! We love you!!
*Madison has gone to two different pumpkin patches in the last couple weeks! We went to the apple orchard/pumpkin patch in Eau Claire with Betsy, Abby and our family friend Emily! Then we went to the tree farm/pumpkin patch in Elk Mound/Colfax with some friends and their kids! It was so much fun! Madison was sooo tired after all the kids to watch and people to see! We had a great time and it was a great opportunity for a photo op!!
*We also got to go to Bella (my god daughter’s) 2nd birthday party! Betsy came with us for the day… We watched Bella open ALL of her presents had some great food and cake! I can not believe that Bella is 2 already! Where the heck has the last 2 years gone?!
*Pat and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary on Oct. 18th. 2 years later and we have a beautiful baby girl! Love you Pat!!
*Madison celebrated her 1st Halloween!! She was my little lady bug- and she was sure a cute one!! She loved her pumpkins—she just wanted to touch all of them!!

Well, I have told you A LOT of information!! And I have one more thing to say…..well, here goes nothing….WE SOLD OUR HOUSE!!!! Oh my! What else is there to say? I don’t know…it is SO overwhelming right now! I just don’t know what to say…. Ok, we have to be out of our house by November 30th- we have made another offer and a different house…which we will not know until this Friday. So---that is all I can say. I will update when we know more! But, I hope you are all ready to move some boxes!! Haha.

Cereal~ nummy...nummy

Maddie had a 1st this week- CEREAL (actually Oatmeal) and she LOVED it!! I was not sure what she would think about it—but when I was feeding her and I took the spoon away to get more- she screamed!! It was funny- she is definitely a little girl that KNOWS what she wants!! The MD recommended that we give her Oatmeal instead of Rice Cereal, since the oatmeal has more fiber for her- and hopefully wont constipate her!!

Another 1st for her- she rolled from her tummy to her back!! Before she would just roll from her back to her tummy – then be stuck! Now, she can go back and forth!! Madison is still sleeping really well- except I am not as much now. One day this week, we went to get her out of her crib and she was on her belly!!! AHHHH!! That really freaked us out! So, now when we put her to bed, she is on her back and within an hour- she rolls to her belly and sleeps that way. Sometimes, if I get up in the night- I roll her back over, I am not a fan of her being on her belly! Ahhh!! It is just another thing for me to worry about!

Madison also got a Johnny or should I say Jenny Jump Up!! She goes crazy in it! She swings back and forth and jumps up and down! It is fun to watch my baby grow up!!

Next weekend will be a big weekend for us- Madison is getting baptized!! Yay! I am really excited! It will be nice to have everyone in town to celebrate our little angel! Betsy, Abby, Nicki and Nathan are Madison’s godparents- we thank them for that!!
