Today was Madison’s 2 month appointment with the pediatrician. She is now 9lbs 13 oz and 22 ½ inches long…she is in the 20%tile on weight and the 50%tile on height. Our little peanut is growing so quickly!! Since she is pooping every 3-4 days on a regular basis now…the MD was not too concerned about that. But there is always something…..our little Miss Maddie really likes to lay on her right side…which has made her little head flat on that side. The MD massaged her neck a little bit and said she was pretty “tight” so that is why she does not like to lay on her other side. It is always something…so she has been referred to get a “baby massage” to try to work the kink out. I also have some exercises I have to do with her at home. We don’t want our little baby to have a flat head. She also had her shots yesterday; I think that I was more upset than she was!! Abby came with me to be my 2nd hand since Pat was not able to go. She had to get 3 shots, 2 in one leg and 1 in the other leg. The nurse poked her and she SCREAMED for about 30 seconds…then she looked around like “hmmm, why was I crying again?” It was super cute…cus then she stopped crying!! I had tears in my eyes…it was a cry that I had never heard before. You could tell that she was upset…but she got over it really quick! We have to bring her back in 1 month for a follow up appt…the MD wants to check her head and also her weight…she would like her to be a little higher in the percentile. Pat and I are so lucky to have such a happy baby! She is so content and just loves looking around and smiling at everything! It is so great! I added a video below for everyone to see our little “talker” she is cooing all the time at us now! It is adorable!!

Maddie is 2 months old!!
Madison is growing like a little weed these days! She is up to a little over 9lbs already!! She is still pretty scrawny though….she is still wearing newborn diapers and newborn clothes. Every once in awhile I can put a 0-3 month outfit on her….it is a little big in the belly area, but it works! Other than that, she is growing so fast! She is much stronger with holding her head up…we tried her Bumbo for the 1st time this week and she was a little wobbly, but she liked it for the 2 minutes she was in it! She has been in her bouncer a lot more now that she is a little bigger…she kicks her feet to make all the noises work! It is so cute! Maddie is smiling now too- she seems to only smile at me…but at least she is smiling. She will crack a little smile at her aunties and grandmas, but I am the only one who has had the FULL on smile :) it just melts my heart! The best is in the morning, when I get her out of her bassinet….I look over at her and she just grins from ear to ear! Love it!
2 months old!!!!!!!!!!
Not so happy with this picture!!!
Maddie is on a pretty good schedule these days…which is good since I go back to work in 2 weeks!! She goes to bed between 10 and 11pm and gets up to feed by 4 or 5am, then sleeps until 7 or 8am!! Which is enough sleep for me!! During the day she is pretty content in her bouncer or laying on her boppy…she will sleep for a couple hrs…by the time Pat gets home from work, she is ready to be held!! She will snuggle with her daddy for awhile, if you put her down she squawks until you pick her back up!! She is the one in control these days! HAHA! I would consider her “fussy” time from 7pm-10pm…she just eats and wants to be held those 3 hrs. She rarely cries…she just squawks until you pick her up. It is perfect for us because after we eat we just snuggle on the couch with her. I am snuggling as much as I can these days…I know it wont last forever. ;) When she is in high school, she wont want to snuggle with her mama…she will want to hang out with her friends!~
Madison has found a new love….softball!! Well, she does not really have a choice…but that has been her life for the last couple of weeks. Abby is on 2 different softball teams and we try to get to her games as much as we can! This weekend Abby is in a tournament in Altoona…so we spent most of today watching her….It is good for Maddie because EVERYONE wants to hold her! She is totally content with that!!
Madison has her 2 month appt this week…she gets her shots! I am SO not looking forward to that at all. I am sure I will be sitting in the chair and the nurses will have to hold her down…I don’t do well with needles! Pat had his wisdom teeth out yesterday and I think that the nurses were more concerned for me then they were for him. She said I was very pale and kept asking me if I was OK. (Not Pat…ME!) oh well, I guess I take after my mom in that aspect!!
Have a great Father’s Day to all the dads out there! I am sure Pat will enjoy his 1st one!!!

Memorial Day!
This last week has been a good one. Madison had her 1 month check up- the MD said she is doing well. She was up to 7lbs 13 oz and 21 ½ inches, so she is growing! Maddie is still having issues with her “pooping” so her pediatrician suggested that we go to a GI specialist. She wants us to make sure that there are no issues especially since in a couple months she will be eating cereal. So, yesterday my mom and I made the adventure to St. Paul to see Dr. Stafford at the GI clinic, he is a pediatric specialist. We had our appt at 740 am (I know, EARLY!) and Madison did really well! She was in a great mood for the Dr. to check her out. He checked her over and thinks that everything is OK with her and her bowels. We have a “special” formula that he wants us to supplement her for a couple weeks and then call him to update him on her status. I was a little nervous about the appointment, because I did not know what to expect. But they were all really nice and since it went well, it made me feel much better!
Since we were in the cities, my mom and I decided we better shop a little bit :) We went to Sam’s Club, Ikea, Costco, and Trader Joe’s! We got a lot done in a few hours and Maddie did great! She is just a little shopper!!
Last night after our adventure to the cities I went to dinner with all of my co-workers from Marten! It was so fun to show Madison off! She was really good for the most part. She was a little squawky when she got hungry, but who isn’t? :) It was fun!
Memorial Day weekend was great! Pat and I just relaxed at home Friday and Saturday. Sunday morning we got up and headed to Pat’s parents house! Cheri, Madison and I did a little bit of running around Saturday and we came home and had a great dinner! Monday morning after we got up went to Debbie’s house (Cheri’s best friend). Debbie finally got to meet Maddie! She was so excited to meet her and Madison loved all the attention!!
Pat and I came back home early Monday afternoon and headed to my parents house for dinner and some more relaxation! It was a great weekend!! Long weekends are the best even when I do not have to go back to work on Tuesday!! (at least for now) We hope everyone had a great long weekend!~ Happy Summer!
