Spring is here which means BABY TIME!!! On Tuesday 3/30/10 our friends Jacki and Bill had their 1st baby. William Michael was born: 10 lbs 11oz, 23 inches long! We are both SO happy for them and he is a doll!! I went to the hospital to see him and he is so cuddly, it makes me very excited for my own!!
Here is a pic of Billy and me :)
Well, I can officially say I am 9 months pregnant!!! I was 36 weeks on Wednesday…WOW! I can not believe in 1 month I will have a baby in my arms! It makes me smile so big! Even Pat is getting really excited~ he likes to talk to my belly and tell him/her to stop kicking me! It is really cute! I still feel great, I have had very few issues this whole pregnancy, which I am very fortunate for…let’s hope labor and delivery are the same! Yeah right, I think I am dreaming!! Ha-ha. We had our 36 week appt yesterday and all is well. The MD did an exam and said I am not really dilated yet (good thing for me) so he thinks I will be “right on time.” I am OK with that….a few more weeks to prepare! The baby’s heartbeat is still in the upper 140’s low 150’s….this has not changed much in the last 8 months.
Me at 36 weeks
Pat and I visited a day care yesterday also…we are not 100% sure what the plan is for daycare yet, but we did like the place we went to. So, only time will tell on that matter! The nursery is just about complete and so is the stairway/hallway. Pat has to call the carpet guys this week to see when they can come and lay it…then COMPLETE. I have been waiting to say that for awhile!! I am excited to get the crib set up, the changing table in the room, the rocking chair and all the cute onesies in the closet!! My mission this weekend is to find a girl and boy “outfit/sleeper” to take to the hospital with us. I want our little one to have either HOT pink or baby blue on when they come home!!! Oh yeah, I should probably pack a bag for myself and Pat too….
I have definitely been “nesting” the past couple weekends…wow, who knew I had it in me? I CLEANED our closet…I mean CLEANED it! Four bags of clothes will be donated and even some shoes too! WOW, I was very impressed with myself and I think Pat was too!! I also went thru ALL the baby “stuff” that we have gotten so far….organized the clothes, went thru the toys, put all of my “paperwork” from the doctor visits into a binder, bought some baby Dreft so I can wash the clothes….I feel the need to organize and clean! It is a crazy feeling, who knew that would happen to me?! ;) HA-HA! My next mission is when the nursery is done, I want to get everything into that room and organize!!!
My family (mom, dad, Betsy and Abby) have been in Washington DC this whole week for Spring Break (don’t you miss the whole week off in Spring?…that was a bonus of actually being in school) and we have had their dog, Fletcher. The nice thing about having Fletch around is that he keeps Bob company! They wrestle around and bite each other’s ears…it makes good entertainment for Pat and me! We do not have big Easter plans, my family comes back Sunday, so we will head over there for dinner and hear all about their trip…other than that, Pat will be working HARD on the hallway/stairway to get it done!!!
I start my appointments every week from here on out….so I go again next Wednesday. I am having my 2nd shower next weekend at Pat’s mom’s house! I am excited to see everyone! (Including Pat’s grandparents that we have not seen since Christmas!!) That will be a lot of fun!! I love the games…I am sure Cheri has some fun ones planned!
Well, this was a longer entry today…only because I have not updated it in a MONTH! Sorry about that….too busy nesting! :) Hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend and spend time with your family!
How exciting. We are so happy for you and pray that things continue to go well. I appreciate your blog keeping us all posted. Take care of yourself and don't forget to put your feet up and relax!
